Dr. Anupama Verma

Dr. Anupama Verma is a board certified nephrologist practicing in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She did her Nephrology fellowship from Lankenau hospital, an affiliate of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after completing an internal medicine residency at PennPresbyterian, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Her medical school training was at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Having lived on four continents and traveled extensively, she takes pride in her multicultural perspective to medicine and life in general.

 

She is passionate about the prevention of kidney diseases and the care and treatment of dialysis patients. She is the medical director at Davita Titletown dialysis unit in Green Bay. Dr Verma believes in a preventive and integrative approach to tackling chronic kidney disease, hypertension and associated conditions. She has worked through the HIV crises and also the effects of COVID-19 in the dialysis community.

 

Dr. Verma has written various medical narratives on issues relevant to patients and physicians. These have been published on Kevin MD, Doximity and the Women in White coats blog among others. She is a founding board member of American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) Green Bay/Northeast Wisconsin chapter and also serves on the board of INDUS, a local cultural and charitable organization. 

 

However, nothing gives her more joy than spending time with her cardiologist husband Rahul, now grown children Syon and Mira, and Archie, their pet poodle dog. As a busy and full time practicing physician who has raised two children in a dual physician family and been through burnout herself, she enjoys coaching and mentoring other women on work life balance through writing, speaking and media opportunities.
