Dr. Anupama Verma
Dr. Anupama Verma is a board certified nephrologist practicing in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She did her Nephrology fellowship from Lankenau hospital, an affiliate of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after completing an internal medicine residency at Penn Presbyterian, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
Her medical school training was at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Dr. Verma has lived on four continents and traveled extensively. She takes pride in her multicultural perspective on medicine and life in general.
She is passionate about the prevention of kidney diseases and the care and treatment of dialysis patients. She believes in a preventive and integrative approach to tackling chronic kidney disease and hypertension.
In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Verma has written various medicine related articles on Kevin MD, and Doximity, among others. She also loves to advocate for both patient and physicians’ well-being through writing and speaking opportunities.
She is a founding board member of American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) Green Bay/Northeast Wisconsin chapter and is involved in various charities including INDUS, of which she is also a board member. In addition, she supports her cardiologist husband in his laudable endeavor to promote a healthy lifestyle for the local Green Bay community by sometimes joining him on his “walk with a doc” initiative (Lambeau Lap).
However, nothing gives her more joy than spending time with her now grown children, Syon and Mira, and playing ball with Archie, their pet poodle dog.
